Piccolo Piano Talents 2021

Dear friends,

We have the honor to invite you to the first piano competition called "Piccolo Piano Talents" organized by the Association for Creative Development of Children Piccolo from Sremska Mitrovica. The association was founded in 2004 and has been gathering children who have been involved in music through various contents for more than 15 years. A large number of children got their first pianist steps through a specially designed Piccolo Piano program and showed notable results at home and competitions abroad.

The Piccolo Piano Talents competition is intended for children under the age of 15 and is designed to support children who dedicate time to learning to play the piano in this time of quick information.

The first competition in a row, in accordance with the epidemiological situation and the application of measures to protect the health of students and employees, will be realized at a distance and with the use of modern means of communication. The deadline for registration and sending of student recordings is March 20, 2021, and the results of the participants will be published by March 28, 2021. The jury will include eminent pedagogues from the country and abroad: Slađana Dedić (BiH), Danijel Oto (Hrvatska) and Dragomir Bratić (Srbija). Dragomir Bratić

Dragomir Bratic, Serbia started playing the piano at the age of fourteen. He graduated from the Department of Piano and received his master’s degree from the department of chamber Music (major: piano duo) at the faculty of music in Belgrade in the classes of Ninoslav Živković and Zorica Ćetković.

Slađana Dedić was born in 1978 in Tuzla where she started her education in the class of professor Planinka Atić Jurišić and graduated from high school of music (piano department) in professor Zlatan Mujkić’s class for three school years with excellent grades.

Danijel Oto started learning piano at the age of 12. He graduated at the Varaždin School of Music (where he majored in piano) under Miljenka Slunjski. At the age of 18 he enrolled at the Music Academy in Zagreb Under Vladimir Krpan, prof., where he graduated with honours in 2009.

Piccolo Piano Talents 2021

Article 1
The Association for Creative Development of Children Piccolo from Sremska Mitrovica is organizing the first competition of young pianists Piccolo Piano Talents 2021 in the period from March 26 to 28, 2021.

The competition will be realized ONLINE.

Article 2
The competition takes place in the disciplines PIANO SOLO and PIANO DUO (four-handed or two pianos).

Article 3
All regular and part-time students of primary music schools, as well as students who do not attend primary school and are younger than 15, have the right to participate.

Article 4
The members of the jury are chosen from the ranks of eminent pedagogues and pianists from Serbia and abroad.
The decisions of the jury are final and irrevocable.

Article 5
An unlimited number of prizes is awarded in each category, according to the number of points won:

And the prize: from 90 to 100 points
II prize: from 80 to 89.99 points
III prize: from 70 to 79.99 points
Praise: 60 to 69.99 points

In case two candidates have the same number of points, the younger candidate is ranked higher.

Article 6
The winner of the competition received a KAWAI KDP110 electrical piano
(or prize of 500 euros)
NOTE: The awarded competitor must pay the transport costs.

The winner, according to the votes of the audience, receives a prize in the amount of 100 euros.
The most successful professor (the largest number of first prizes) received a cash prize of 200 euros.
All candidates receive medal and diploma which the organizer sends by email.

Article 7
Competitors submit an electronic application that can be downloaded from the competition website.

Along with the application, all candidates submit a scanned (photographed) birth certificate or passport, a photo of the candidate and proof of payment of the donation:

for soloists 2, 400.00 dinars or 20 euros
for piano duo 3, 600.00 dinars or 30 euros

Payments from Serbia should be made to account 160-929326-72 in the name of the competitor and with the purpose of payment: donation for Piccolo Piano Talents. Recipient name: Udruženje za kreativni razvoj dece "Piccolo". Recipient Adress: Stari šor 105b, 22000 Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia.

In case of cancellation of the candidate's performance, the donation is not returned.

Candidate applications are open until March 20, 2021.

Article 8
The video of the contestant is posted on the You Tube channel with the “Public” or "Unlisted" option marked and comments off. In the description of the video, it is necessary to state the name and surname of the candidate and the program that is being performed. The video must clearly show the candidate's face and the instrument as a whole. Sent recordings must not be older than one year. The link of the video must be copied to the electronic application for the competition.

The organizer reserves the right to further use the received material in order to promote the competition.

Piccolo Piano Talents 2021

Piano Solo
Competitors in the discipline of piano solo perform the program by heart, by free choice which contains at least two compositions. The duration of the competition program depends on the category:

BABY category / competitors born in 2013 and younger - up to 4 minutes
And the category / competitors born in 2012 - up to 5 minutes
B category / competitors born in 2011 - up to 7 minutes
C category / competitors born in 2010 - up to 7 minutes
D category / competitors born in 2009 - up to 10 minutes
E category / competitors born in 2008 - up to 10 minutes
F category / competitors born in 2007 - up to 12 minutes
G category / competitors born in 2006 - up to 12 minutes

Piano Duo
(one piano four hands or two pianos)

Competitors in the piano duo discipline perform a program of notes of their choice that contains at least two compositions. The duration of the program depends on the category:

BABY category / competitors born in 2012 - up to 4 minutes
A category / competitors born in 2010 and 2011 - up to 5 minutes
B category / competitors born in 2008 and 2009 - up to 7 min.
C category / competitors born in 2006 and 2007 - up to 10 min.
